Hunt Light: Lunar New Year

From January 23rd to February 6th, red lighting on the Hunt Library façade celebrates Lunar New Year.

Sometimes referred to as Chinese New Year, the Lunar New Year is observed by many cultures worldwide with festivities lasting up to fifteen days. It begins on the night of the first new moon of a new year based the lunisolar calendar, which indicates both the moon phase and the time of the solar year. The Lunar New Year is a celebration of change, a time of hope and personal renewal.
